Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What does ACT Intl do?

A. We provide artistic and other ministry innovators the coaching, organization, non-profit status, administrative systems, and ministry accountability they need to advance in ministry. We also help the Church embrace artists and the arts for Christ’s work worldwide.

Q. How do you differentiate between ACT Intl as a whole vs. each individual ministry department?

A. ACT Intl an interdenominational mission sending effort that allows unique artistic (and other non-conventional) ministry workers to become staff members (volunteer, part-time, or occupationally full time) to develop their ministry as a bona fide department of ACT Intl.

We take these vetted ministry-entrepreneurs seriously and give them the ministerial and organizational structures that will accelerate them to move forward in their sense of the LORD’s assignment. They become a department of ACT Intl but are Board approved to develop their ministry assignment as a department of the ACT Intl Church-Mission ministry. So, they are both, and at the same time developing “their” board approved ministry, and developing a ministry department of ACT Intl. They are us and we are them. Ultimately, they operate under the authority of ACT Intl, and are accountable to our ministerial structures and Board of Directors – both corporately and ministerially.

We identify ministry-entrepreneurs who already know what the LORD is directing them to do, but who need an ecclesial ministry structure under which they can develop their ministry vision.

ACT Intl is currently comprised of over 500 ministry departments and projects that are made up of 700+ artistic and other innovative ministers, evangelists, missionaries, and ministry project leaders. ACTIntl is an interdenominational ministry structure of the Church that equips and mobilizes these ministry workers as they minister in the cracks between the local churches and denominations. Though all these ministry-initiators are fully vetted, many of them would not most likely be taken seriously by other denominational and missional ministries.

Q. In how many nations does ACT Intl operate?

A. While we are legally incorporated in the USA, Canada, Kenya, and Brazil, our ministries currently touch more than 50 countries.

Q. If I make a donation to ACT Intl, where does the money go?

A. You decide where you want your money to go by either choosing an individual ministry department or by giving directly to ACT Intl. Note that all ministry departments agree to 11% of support designated to their effort to go into the Global Missions Home Office fund to handle their back-office administration.

Q. Will I receive a receipt from ACT Intl of the individual ministry department to which I donate?

A. Yes. While your receipt will come from ACT Intl as the parent 501(c)3 non-profit Church entity (a “Registered Christian Charity” in Canada), the name of the individual ministry department or project you support will be clearly indicated.

Q. Will I receive a paper receipt for my donation?

A. You will receive a paper receipt only if your donation comes in the form of a check or bank transfer. Donations through our online portal will receive an email receipt. In addition, following Dec 31, all financial partners will receive a paper Summary of Donations in the mail listing each of your contributions and your total yearly giving.
