Maureen Heath is a visual artist and minister of the gospel who has experienced first hand the role that creative expression can play in restoring a life to wholeness.
Current science and medicine affirm the positive emotional, spiritual and physiological effects that are experienced when one is engaging in the arts. Be it drawing, painting, writing, dancing, or drumming, we confront and unveil hidden parts of ourselves and we find that we are also confronted by an invitation to connect with something greater; transcendent. We were meant to create-it is a gift to us and helps us to connect with the One who made us to create; the transcendent and loving person of God.
Maureen uses her artistic talents to engage the oppressed and the lost people of the world, pointing them to the reality of salvation and hope in Jesus Christ.
She also mobilizes the church to action as she creates opportunities for people to serve with her and to pray for the work God has called her to.
